The white hot truth is no truth at all,
save the passionate conviction that a thing
is real to one, and little can convince
a person of its opposite, though minds
are opening all around me these days,
lovely multicolored parachutes wafting
down out of the ethers like the piñon jays
emerging out of the thinnest blue skies
to settle into their morning feed;
Still, the universe is replete with paradox,
as we are understanding more and deeper
than before, and many realize black is
not white, nor is it black as once thought,
both contain spectrums one discovers when mixing paint on canvas, prussian blue here, ochre there, yet combine them and they both yield to shades of grey, having that in common anyway, separation being a manufactured myth;
And so I am careful these days, shaking
out former certainties like musty sheets
hung on the line in a fresh spring breeze,
relieving them of the staleness of sitting
in storage too long, needing to air out
and purge misconceptions, often based
on facts fed me in my youth, and some
certitudes ought to be questioned, need to
be reexamined from time to time,
don't you think?

Santa Fe springtime - bj
Everything contains its opposite. It’s hard to find balance in a constantly changing world. (K)
Indeed! Witness my fall on icy ground when my cleat sprung loose last week! We need whatever tools seem right for each of us, no doubt. ❤️
Arghh…. The spectrum of colour that colours our lens 🙂 All that we were taught unravelling before us, revealing, reviling, and restoring.. within its R/Evolution to show us what was always there hidden in plain sight.
Looks like your Winter still gripping you in its icy claws Bela… Sending Warm hugs over the waves.. <3 <3 <3
Thanks, dearie! Yes. Cold mornings, warming in afternoon. Hidden in plain sight was right! I’ve been accused of being a conspiracy theorist several times in my life. Funny enough, now these things are proving to be true. Arrgghh. 💓💓💓
Yes…. lol….. likewise many years ago too and we are proving to be right.. <3 What a World….. Keep Enjoying the NOW… Looking forward to Spring and planting time.. <3 <3 <3
As we do! Sending love. 💓
What a thought-provoking verse Bela.
As I read it, it brought to mind a piece written many years back by Jamshed Bharucha who used to be president of The Cooper Union. Jamshed wrote that arguably one of the most important aspect of our education is ‘to stretch our minds’ rather than getting stuck to certain frameworks, ideas and tools.
He advised that we need to all the time keep stretching our mind, keep stepping outside our comfort zone, keep venturing beyond the familiar, keep trying to put ourselves in the shoes of others whose frameworks and cultures are alien to us………
I loved the phrase, ‘,,, shaking out former certainties like musty sheets’.
Cheers

Thank you, Shakti. I am sure my thoughts are not new, though I think we constantly need reminders not to lock down on ideas as if they were the only truth. Otherwise we’d still think the sun rotate around the Earth! That was completely unsettling at the time, to learn that the Earth revolved around the sun. Now we discover the universe is not made of atoms, but rather plasma. In fact our bodies are largely made of plasma. These new discoveries can completely unseat even the scientific community, protective of their ideas for which they receive major funding. If we took money out of the equation on earth, imagine how thought and discovery could escalate! Blessings, dear man, on the upcoming week! 🙏❤️
I love this Bela. The paradox of life, and the natural clearing out for renewal as Spring approaches. Beautifully captured.
There is a greater sense of awakening this year. May we all come to be more open to the truth beyond our thinking.
May we indeed, Val! And yes, a greater sense of awakening as we merge into the Aquarian age. Thanks for your kind comment. 🙏💕
Beautiful thoughts/ balance is fleeting
And yet we attempt it! Thanks, C! ❤️🌹❤️
