… barely! My husband and I have been deconstructing our lives of the last seven years here on Hawaii Island. The old historic property we bought and transformed has been sold, freeing us up to reclaim simpler lives. 6000 square feet of buildings were renovated – a labor of love that lasted over four years. And while it’s fabulous to taste freedom, once again – it’s also exhausting. Gathering, sorting and selling – sifting and packing and trucking – unpacking and settling into a temporary dwelling has been far more time consuming than ever we imagined (or remembered it to be!). We have also been without Internet for days on end – and I’ve been catching up in parking lots and cafes in the meantime. Island living requires that one learns to WAIT. Patience has been key during the past few years, but especially honing itself into an enduring quality most recently.

So forgive me for not posting these past couple of weeks – I am hoping our Internet issues will resolve soon, and I’ll be back in the swing of things by next week. Until then, hoping you all are enjoying the summer days, wherever you may be – north of the equator!
